Below is a selection of reviews for Maghreb Restaurant in North London:

This may be North London but you could easily be forgiven for thinking you have been transported to North Africa when you step into Maghreb. A bit like setting foot in a souk with lots of Moroccan pottery and artifacts. Hoards of loyal Islington customers make this a popular North London hangout.

To be honest, Maghreb is the only Moroccan restaurant I’ve been to, but it was lovely. Lots of spicy dishes, including a yummy couscous, and a laidback atmosphere.?I’d recommend Maghreb to anyone wanting to try something different.

Went to Maghreb with a group of 6 friends. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Lots of plump cushions and draped fabrics – felt like Morocco!

Although I live in Lewisham and my boyfriend in Tower Hamlets- we like to go to Angel for dinner from time to time- there are a great selection of restaurants to choose from on the High street. We rarely book and simply choose a place we like the look of.That is how we ended up in Maghreb one night and we were not dissapointed. In fact we were lucky to get a table and it is now one of our most favourite restaurants in all of London. If you want seriously tasty food, in a beautiful setting and at great prices- all served with a smile and touch of class then give Maghreb a try.

There are few things that do well to lift sagging spirits and food can be one among them, but certainly not any food. Some vouch for the fact that a delicious tagine could do the trick, or perhaps a heart-warming Moroccan soup at the Maghreb Restaurant on Upper Street. Even the interior does its bit to spruce things up with bold colours schemes and beautiful lanterns.Get off to a cracking start with duck pastilla with onions, cinnamon and saffron, all wrapped in a filo pastry, or merguez sausages, then a Marrakech platter with lamb, chicken and vegetable kebabs could follow. The tagines combine a medley of ingredients such as chicken or lamb shank with vegetables or rabbit meat with raisins and pears for game lovers? The wine list at Maghreb covers plenty of ground, but Moroccan wines feature prominently including the renowned Medaillon Sauvignon Blanc.
